DESCRIPTION:Getting on Board the IBX: A View from the Regional Plan Associa
 tion\n\nKate Slevin\nExecutive Vice President\, Regional Plan Assocation (
 RPA)\nThe Interborough Express (IBX) is a proposed 14-mile light rail line
  that will run from Bay Ridge\, Brooklyn to Jackson Heights\, Queens.  Ka
 te Slevin will discuss the history\, planning\, and future construction of
  the IBX and how it might transform New York.  Kate is Executive Vice Pre
 sident at the Regional Plan Association (RPA)\, which she joined in 2016. 
  She has led the RPA’s work for New York's congestion pricing program\,
  successfully advocated for the Interborough Express\, established the Hea
 lthy Regions Planning Exchange\, and has co-authored a number of RPA repor
 ts.  Before joining the RPA\, Kate served as assistant commissioner for g
 overnment and community affairs at the NYC Department of Transportation. 
  Prior to that\, she spent a decade at the Tri-State Transportation Campa
 ign\, serving as executive director from 2007 until 2012.\nFor more inform
